Support for China AWS partition (cn-north-1, cn-northwest-1) #515

verson 0.4.5 still not supported.

I love up, I am very eager to support it

The AWS site mentions that a “China legal entity is required for an account”, so there’s no way for me to test it unfortunately :(. Someone else already tried adding it to the list of ids and it seems like there were a few problems.

Darn, thanks for giving me access to test, looks like it's missing some features preventing parity for now. Looks like Route53 and ACM are missing as well, but those could maybe be utilized from the standard AWS partition.

InvalidParameterValueException: EnvironmentVariablesFeature is not supported in cn-north-1 region

I don't want to stray too far from parity, that would basically double the maintenance burden and QA. I'll leave this issue open for revisiting though.

cn-north-1 is "special" region. I use serverless deploy to this region one year ago.

It's not only EnvironmentVariablesFeature is not supported. Nearly 20% CF task will failure and cannot rollback. You must delete it or wait it 10 minutes or until tomorrow.

You cannot send ticket to engineer. Only contact a custom service by email or wechat (China popular sns app). If you ask any question about bug. The custom service CANNOT understand what are you saying and thinking you are a troublemaker.

Facing the same problem now. I don't want to use different tools for deploying my app for this region, it'll cause some overhead in app maintenance. Any chance that it'll be added?
