This must be implemented before the interface for sample metadata modification can be enabled.

First pass committed. A login button with working authentication framework now exists.

Status update - updating to mongoengine 0.8.7 has fixed serveral bugs, for which debugging commits were made. Can now proceed with this.

If you are using django 1.6.1, you must upgrade to non-rel 1.6-beta to make this work.
