And the most annoying thing is that they don't reply to messages.

We are aware of this downtime that is currently affecting the positionstack API and are currently working to fix the issue as soon as possible. We'll make sure to notify our customers and release a post-mortem about this issue as soon as it is addressed. Thank you for your patience and apologies for any inconveniences caused.

Competitor here, try our service https://opencagedata.com/ for geocoding.

Marketing side, APIlayer has been unresponsive for a while, on all channels. Browse their Facebook feed, Twitter mentions, Github issues. And that goes across multiple products. This is the third multi-day outage in 12 months (as measured by their own status page). Don't wait for a post mortem.

APIlayer is currently rebranding as API marketplace. The website changed today, taking over the product or team behind https://promptapi.com/. I don't know how that will affect their existing products.

It was weeks last time. And I got a canned response like this within days of the issue last time.

I hope it's not the same for you!
