What is the license? #11

Hi

I don't see the license file (license.md or similar) in the project repo. What is the license?

It is said on the website that it is under GPLv3 but I don't find the license file here.

Shouldn't it be in root directory?

Ordinarily yes.

Here it is made for easy packaging in Debian (and possibly other packagers) where all licences, documentation and notes are moved to docs. Also avoids any clutter of actual code. Some repos keep it in an upper folder with the actual code in a src folder. Here we have the overlay of mods to accommodate and make for ease of folder recursive comparison for files that have actually changed.
