Lack of Linux Support #8

Closed peanutbutterandcrackers closed 6 years ago

peanutbutterandcrackers commented 6 years ago

So, the sourceforge binary doesn't work on 64 bit linux; some of the dependencies seem to have been obsolete so can't even work around the fact. Tried to compile it myself (and I am just a beginner at this) and saw that there are no make files or (hardly) any documentation.

Please fix this. It'd suck if an Open Source project became obsolete for most of the open source operating systems.

Binary works just fine on most ubuntu based systems. Just tested on Linux Mint 18. I don't think you can expect any activity here, last one was three years ago.

I see. It doesn't work on my Xubuntu 16.04 machine. Any ideas why that might be?

Also, how would I compile the code? Instructions please.

Did you try to install it from repo? sudo apt install posterazor

Oops! I had no idea it was there! sorry. My mistake.

Thank you very much for your help. :) You're awesome!
