cannot print to a usb printer #1011

Version: 1.1.22 CUPS.org User: guy.brandenburger.wtal

a Canon BJC-3000 is connected via usb to a powermac g5 with mac os x 10.3.6, gimp print 4.2.7 I cannot print, after the message "opening the print file and connection" the usb backend crashes with a kernel protection failure I add the crash log (I'm not sure about the version number 1.1.22, how can I check that?)

Apple is responsible for the USB backend and drivers, and only they can fix them.
