Classes vanish all of a sudden #6000

Hello,

I am 12.1 Monterrey and on an M1 Mac, CUPS version 2.3.4. I noticed now when trying to set up a printer that requires to create a Class it gets removed on its own, even when adding the class via terminal it goes away on its own. If you need more info please let me know I will do my best to provide any more details to try to determine the root cause.

I have the same issue.

I have seen the same issues on multiple machines, all running cups 2.3.4. The ones I have tested on are Intel based Mac's. The class seems to disappear as soon as anything tries to interact with it. For example after adding class, open printer settings in system preferences, and the class is removed.

Have tried adding both through command line, and web interface, and both experience same problem.

To clarify, my issues exist on both Intel-based 2019 Macbook and on the 2021 M1 Pro Macbook as well. Both are running Monterey 12.4

Same issue on Ventura 13.4 and CUPS 2.3.4

Has CUPS been updated to 2.3.6? Anyone know how to get this update? I'm on Ventura 13.4.1 and it's still showing CUPS 2.3.4 on my system.

Hi! I am experiencing the same problem with Ventura 13.6.1 and (still) CUPS 2.3.4. Is there any news or a way to upgrade CUPS 2.3.6, if it solves the problem?
