Downloaded from here: https://github.com/apple/foundationdb/releases/download/7.1.23/FoundationDB-7.1.23.pkg both checksum file and binary file.

Generated SHA256 checksum on my MacBook Pro with MacOS v12.6 via "shasum -a 256 FoundationDB-7.1.23.pkg" The generated checksum does not match the one provided in the file https://github.com/apple/foundationdb/releases/download/7.1.23/FoundationDB-7.1.23.pkg.sha256

I just noticed that the SHA256 checksum also seems to be broken for macOS installed for the 7.1.25 release:
