Compression is already supported inside Appleseed, but not used for the moment.
To use it, you should set the image attributes:
- compression: The compression mode of the image (zip, dwaa, dwab, b44, etc).
- compression_quality: The compression quality of the image between 0 and 100.
- dwa_compression_lvl: The compression level for dwaa and dwab compression mode.
The ones allowed by OIIO being
If OIIO receives a request for an unsupported compression, it defaults to zip by default. For dwaa and dwab compression, dwaCompressionLevel might be appended to the compression name after a colon, i.e: dwaa:200 according to the docs.
