neutriNote - the original extensible Markdown + Math note app. Non-commerical. No lock-ins. Only 3 MB footprint & highly optimized. Designed for plaintext purists.
Describe the bug
In any note, when the search widget has been opened (e. g. by Ctrl+F) and the search term been typed in, pressing Enter (or Return) fails to submit the search term.
Instead, the search widget remains in the state it was before Enter pressed, with no search results being found or highlighted even if there are many matches.
Supposedly, this behavior is also not compliant with android guidelines, as most apps that offer a search widget allow to submit the typed-in term and start searching for it by pressing Enter.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Open NeutrinoteCE on a device with external keyboard.
Open any note.
Press Ctrl+F.
Type in a search term that is matched by at least one occurrence in the text.
Press Enter.
Currently, no match is found or highlighted. (You'd have to tap the looking glass to do so.)
Expected behavior
The existing match(es) should be found and highlighted, the same way they are if you tap the looking glass.
Smartphone (please complete the following information):
Neutrinote CE 4.5.3c on various mobile devices from Android 9 to 11
Additional remarks
Sorry about this separate, subsequent report of an issue so closely related to #85. Hope it's not too late for you to address both in one go.
