[QUESTION] about description in v6.8.0 release #1368

This release DOES NOT work with calibre 5.0. Stick with calibre 4.23 for now if you need DRM removal.

This release adds full support for the new .kinf2018 key files and the nw KFX encryption. Many thanks to Apprentice Sakuya for their work on this.

This means that this release now works with the latest (2.8) version of Kindle for PC and Kindle for Mac.

A script to remove DRM from B&N PDFs has been included but not integrated into the plugin, nor tested.

The latest version of kindle for PC should be 1.30. I don't know to what version 2.8 referred, is there a mistake here?

Should have said version 1.28 which was the latest Kindle for PC/Mac when DeDRM 6.8 was released. However, immediately thereafter Amazon made a change which meant that DeDRM 6.8 now only works up to Kindle for PC/Mac version 1.26 -- unless you disable downloads of the KFX format.

Yeah, the MobileRead post linked from there is probably the best place to see up-to-date info.
