[Feature]: Authenticated API: Basic Auth: Header might have Authorization header like postman has. #21778

Is there an existing issue for this?

Summary

The header section might have authorization header like postman has in case of basic Auth/ other Auth. Steps:

  1. Create an authenticated API
  2. Use Auth type as basic auth
  3. URL - https://postman-echo.com/basic-auth
  4. Method - GET
  5. username - postman
  6. password - password

Observe- the headers doesn't have authorization headers ![Uploading header appsmith.png…]()

Why should this be worked on?

This might standardise the header section more.

@AnandShahs123 please update details as we are not able to understand the issue.

@sribalajig - When I compare this basic auth request to postman, there is no authorization header generated in our case.
