The name 'Singularity' was changed to 'Apptainer' as a requirement to join the Linux Foundation and not to avoid confusion with regards to its move to the Linux Foundation #280

It wasn't changed to avoid confusion. It was changed as a requirement of joining the Linux Foundation.
