🐛 Bug Report: Increase font weight #344

Open juanpflores opened 1 year ago

juanpflores commented 1 year ago

👟 Reproduction steps

When I tried to go through the Appwrite documentation. I found it hard to read at first. There are long paragraphs with a light font style that makes it hard to read.

👍 Expected behavior

It is highly recommended that you add a normal (400) font-weight to docs so it is easy to read for people that might have some visual impairment. There are a few recommendations on this blog.

👎 Actual Behavior

The current font-weight is light (300)

If this issue is to be resolved after the internal discussion, can I be assigned to fix it?

Adding some extra context shared with the team via DM

As with cursive, extra bold, condensed and script fonts, light fonts may be best suited for headlines or short passages. When a light weight font is used for long passages in body text, the lightness of the characters may be difficult for many readers to clearly see because the ultra thin strokes can cause the letters to blend in with the background

On a high definition retina screen this might be okay, and might still be readable, but when you render text like this on older monitors, parts of the text can disappear making it incredibly difficult to read.
