It was brought up that the way to close a pop-out image is not obvious (currently the user must click on something other than the image. I also believe that it is not obvious that ctrl+clicking is a feature.
I believe that the former could be addressed by greying out the rest of the display while the pop-out image is displayed - maybe an "X" in the upper right hand corner could be added to direct the user's attention.
The latter could be addressed by adding the message: "ctrl+click to enlarge" to the tooltip.
