You have to install node.js prior to installing. You can download it from here: (https://nodejs.org/en/). I downloaded the recommended and it seemed to do the trick.

I got the same error installing it. then I installed node.js prior and it did not solve the error.

same error. node.js installed prior to downloading aptana.

required that I install 32bit git for Windows. I had 64bit git installed. You can use the official 32bit git download instead of using the .exe link above.
