apatana installes wrong java version #518

I have just installed aptana for the first time ever. it wanted me to install java to use it. I agreed that aptana installs the prerequisites. it chose java 7 update 60. after installation, it tells me that it requires at least java 8? why is the wrong java version being installed?

I had the same problem. I can't fix it yet. Do you solved the problem?

Going to add that I have Java 8 and Java 14 installed and there should be no need to install Java SE 7 Update 60. Please remove this prerequisite from the installation. I cancelled the Aptana installation to not disrupt the existing Java setup.
