Sam issue - installing on a new Windows 11 laptop.

go to https://www.java.com/en/download/ and download and install the JRE 8.* from there then run the install again.

Can the new Java Runtime Environment be added to the installer?

This is just one of the reasons Java is such a giant flaming piece of crap.... Why do developers still use it. Literally ANY other language would be better. Between the installation problems and the huge memory leaks every Java application has I don't understand why anyone is still using this.

Yes, I'm having the same problem with the installer. "Wrong size" The link you sent doesn't work, it doesn't actually go anywhere.

Downloaded and installed the jre environment from Oracle... and of course aptana can't find it and won't install until it things it's there. I'm done. If you decide to build this on something else... ANYTHING else it looks like it might be a good product. But as long as it's java it's going nowhere.
