Plugin doesn't work, hangs browser - FF 3.0.1 on OS X 10.4.11 PPC #59

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install the plugin in Firefox 3.0.1 on a PowerPC Mac with OS X 10.4.11.
2. Try to open a PDF directly, or visit any page that has a PDF embedded in it.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The PDF should be displayed embedded in the page. Instead, the browser
essentially freezes. Clicking UI elements has no effect. Sometimes there's
a scrollbar on the right that is still operable, but using it has no
effect. Must restart Firefox to regain control.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using 0.9.8 of the plugin; Firefox 3.0.1 on OS X Tiger 10.4.11, PowerBook
G4 PowerPC.

Using version 1.1 of the plugin, Firefox 3.0.11 on OS X 10.4.11, PowerPC G5

The plugin downloads the PDF and opens Adobe reader, opening the file in that
instead
of in the browser. This works, but is not as advertised. I am not having the
browser freeze problem described above.

@ clhendricksBC

Open Firefox->Preferences and select the Applications tab.

Make sure "Portable Document Format" is set to "Use Firefox PDF Plugin for Mac
OS X"
