Aqua26 to Aqua57 Migration Meeting 10/27/2021

Action Items Completed

• Chuck gave update on project
• Aqua57 linked server to Aqua17 is working!
• Documentation of how to create linked server is on Github
• Conversion & Testing successful for Phonelist app on Aqua57
• UPS database views are also working
• Neptune & Neptune_Master are running good

New Action Items for 11/3/2021

• Backup & restore Dev db's to Aqua18 & Aqua55
• John & Paul dev DB's in maintenance mode before and after
• Chuck will email all when data restore is done on current DEV servers
• Email Vance Arnold on date/time to merge to new DB on Aqua57. Chuck will do a backup/restore to Aqua57 right before and Paul will update the ODBC connection through ODBC management tool
• Chuck will create SQL job scripts for Aqua57 from Aqua26
• Chuck will do a backup & restore to Aqua57 of Neptune, Neptune_Master, RP and RP_Master

1. Linked Server to Aqua17 on Aqua57 (Chuck) o Chuck created linked server but connection failing to Vantage .dll on Aqua17 o Dan is helping with this o Complete link server testing for Aqua17 on Aqua57
2. UPS PC (Chuck) o Chuck completed UPS database backup/restore onto Aqua57 o Once linked server is successful then Chuck will test all views on UPS database on Aqua57 o Once all views run successful and Aqua17 linked server is working then Chuck will make changes to ODBC file on UPS machine and make sure it is functional.  Chuck will need to remote into that PC to make those changes.
3. Back up and restore databases from Aqua26 to Aqua57 (Chuck) •
   

• Create SQL Maintenance scripts and Jobs (Chuck)

4. Branch “Aqua PhoneList” app to Aqua57 (Chuck) o Begin changing references from Aqua26 to Aqua57 o Publish and test from Aqua57
5. Create branches for Aqua57 changes. o Once Aqua Phonelist has published and tested successful do a branch of all other apps hosted on Aqua26 (APD,RP,Ozone, CSDashboard, Warranty Claims & all dashboard apps) o Place on end of branch – Aqua57
6. Update ONLY network paths from Aqua26 to aqua57 and SQL server Aqua26 to Aqua57 ONLY on the branched versions on Aqua57 and check-in checksets as “[Developer Initials] Pub Aqua57 Migration” o APD (Paul) o RP (John) o CSDashboard (Chuck) o Warranty Claims (Chuck) o Ozone (Chuck) o Dashboard apps (Chuck;s name on most but might have John and Paul help.
