@echaidemenos nice start. Let's make sure the layer and expand icons are the same size as the icons left.

Also, is it easy to adapt the layers icon with a blue tint to be more consistent?

@echaidemenos not introduced by this PR but touching on the same items. Could you have a look at:

removing the underline on hover for the zoom buttons
changing the hover mouse icon of the layers to a finger pointer instead of a mouse click pointer
