We have introduced a "rotating" welcome message in v3. This was not in v2, and I'm concerned about the implementation
The way it shows up it looks like part of the name, which could easily confuse users
Some languages return things that an English speaking user might misinterpret...
For example, refreshing the page I get things like
"Anyoung Gene Nomicos"
"Privet Gene Nomicos"
"Halo Gene Nomicos"
"God Dag Gene Nomicos"
I suggest one of several alternatives
drop the rotating welcome message (just say "Welcome" - the rest of the site is in English, anyway)
allow the user to set their own welcome text (they could pick "woohoo" if they wanted to
allow the user to pick their language. We could translate the welcome message based on the language, but we would probably want to also translate things like error messages, etc)
The first two are fairly straightforward. I don't think we are ready to embark on the third one, yet.
