Incorrect HDMI frame rate #522

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play 50 or 24 Hz video (SVTPlay or Netflix for example)
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the HDMI frame rate to be correct, but Chromecast outputs 60 Hz frame 
rate always.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version. Android.

Please provide any additional information below.
Minimum requirement is to manually choose frame rate: 60, 50 or 23.976 Hz. 
Through the chromecast app and the API.

To comment on earlier responses on this issue: No it is definitely NOT the TV:s 
job to recover the true video frame rate. That some TV:s try to do it anyway 
does not change that fact.
