Aragon Nest Proposal: Aragon Ads Service

Abstract

Ads is the best form of earning from users' use. Non irritating/intrusive ads that doesn't tracks user's privacy and doesn't collects data, but uses empty spaces to show interesting ads, and uses an Ads Service API for Proof-of-View/Click.

It will give more traction and value to DAO's tokens, because contributors will earn its tokens also from ads, which is the most powerful source of tokens. Also users can have option to hide ads by sending a tiny fee in app's native token (that app native token can be the same token of the DAO).

It will also benefit blockchain-based social networks, that will not charge users for fees but use ads' revenue for that.

Note: I don't have skills to make it working, but to propose it; then you're free to begin implementing it on a pull request and receive your grants.

Deliverables

[ ] Attention for privacy-friendly platform
[ ] Policy for non irritating/intrusive ads
[ ] Rule that ads can only be placed on unused empty spaces
[ ] Ads Service API for decentralized Proof-of-View/Click
[ ] Only show ads that are relevant to the content
[ ] User can hide an specific ad, and option to not show ads related to this hidden ad
[ ] Users have option to hide all ads by sending a tiny fee in app's native token (that app native token can be the same token of the DAO - integration with Pando and Wetonomy)
[ ] Payment from ads is directed to DAOs contributors (integration with Pando and Wetonomy)

Grant size

Funding: Up to $100k in ETH, split into chunks paid out over achieved deliverables.

Success reward: Up to $50k in ANT, given out when all deliverables are ready.

Details of the team members, alongside with their willingness in terms of implication
Estimated average burn rate for completing the deliverables
Legal structure to be adopted, if any

Development timeline

To be discussed or to be proposed by the team requesting funds.

Well, I think that tokens from ads shouldn't be directly to the DAO's contributors, but be locked on DAO economy to be rewarded when deserved/needed. Admins are welcome to edit the issue

The Aragon project is not interested in an Ads service. Therefore, we have decided not to approve this proposal. If in the future you are working on something that is a fit for the program, please do not hesitate to apply again!
