I second this. Is there a way to prevent irssi from starting in the meantime? As for vsftpd, i just used
sudo systemctl disable vsftpd
Guys, if you read the Wiki you will find that the main purpose of rtinst script is to be as simple to use as possible with minimum user interaction. Rtinst has been a user-friendly script for over 5 years and requests as example your proposal is simply not going to happen as it does not correspond with the goal of the script...
Your request can easily be accomplished by commenting out parts of the script your are not interested in. Further, fork the project if you want to share your work with others. It's as simply as that and there won't be given any help here to do so as it requires novice knowledge and only takes a few minutes.
Information about Irssi and how to manage it is given at Irssi Help.
Hey, this thing really works well, thank you. If one was to comment out an unwanted portion of the script such as vsftpd, would that screw up the install? Is anything dependent on vsftpd being there?
Thank you
No
or just make them optional !
Thx !
