I'm in the process of auditing and upgrade dependencies on a set of projects, but I can't find a CHANGELOG file, or changes attached to github releases. Is there any way I can check at least breaking changes between major versions?

Yeah I gave up maintaining a change log since it was a hassle and no one seemed to really use it. That being said this list of issues should give you an idea.
