Someday: well completion emissions data basis #450

Completion emissions estimates at bottom of drilling and development leverage average emissions from GHGRP. Emissions from different types of wells reported in the GHGRP database (like fractured, green completed, etc.) are averaged. However, there is no way to adjust these for the kind fo well we are modeling in OPGEE. For example, a heavy oil well or bitumen SAGD well modeled in OPGEE will still outgas the same amount of CH4 upon completion as a light, gassy oil well. This is clearly wrong, in that the SAGD well will produce very little gas over its entire life, much less upon completion.

I don't have a way to do this yet in mind. The data we have from GHGRP probably won't let us do anything more intelligent. I just wanted to flag this as an issue to address someday.
