Propose Change

Currently Water injection worksheet employs the static gradient (Cell M43) to estimate the energy requirements for water injection. However, I recommend using _Res_press_ instead to obtain a more accurate estimate of the energy requirements and emissions.

Assuming injectivity equals productivity, adjusting the calculations to consider drawdown as (_Res_press_ - Flowing bottomhole pressure) will improve reliability of our data and reduce discrepancies.

Background

After conducting a through analysis for CO2-EOR flood, where the water injection emissions should be lower than artificial lift emissions since the energy requirements are proportional to the fluid volumes and in most CO2-EOR flood WOR > WIR (more water is produced than injected). With the current OPGEE assumption, looking at number of field for CO2-EOR development, water injection emissions comes out to be greater than artificial lift emissions. By implementing the propose adjustment, we can ensure emissions estimation align with the realistic energy requirements.
