Hi @mverburg - thank you for translating. I'll check asap.
@mverburg - thanx for your contribution. I'll merge your PR, but have an additional request: could you please add an information what version was your basis for translation?
Upon (briefly) checking we were not sure that you used the EN or DE version 8.0, or any prior version. Would be great if you could clarify that, at best at the beginning of the 'master document arc42-template.adoc
That request does not hinder merging, though... but would allow for users to know if they might encounter any differences to the current EN version (we currently actively maintain only DE and EN from our side, the other languages are still on V7.x)
Hi @gernotstarke, first of all it was a pleasure making the translation since it was a great way to appreciate the work that you and your fellow contributors have done.
could you please add an information what version was your basis for translation?
With regard to your question, the translation is based on version 8 of the EN template (please see 577833b00 - the commit that still contains the - commented out source upon which the translation is based).
I agree it's a good idea to add a line in the arc42-template.adoc
section that explicitly references the source language and version (at least for the contributed translations).
Would you agree we could use the asciidoc document header - revision information section to do that? E.g.
= image:arc42-logo.png[arc42] Template
// toc-title definition MUST follow document title without blank line!
Dr. Peter Hruschka, Dr. Gernot Starke en bijdragers
v8 : NL versie is gebaseerd op versie 8 van de Engelse vertaling
:toc-title: Inhoudsopgave
...
yes please... +1
I'll create a ticket for your request so we can also explicitly mention the source for the IT and ES translations.
This pull request is made up of two commits
All template files have been translated to Dutch using the English documentation as source.
Some English terms haven't been translated since most Dutch engineers will use the English term already, so forcibly translating those terms would hamper acceptance.
A new document has been added (
NL/asciidoc/src/termen.adoc
) containing a dictionary for specific words/terms in order to be able to make a consistent translation of those terms.
