@florianthiery @AllardMees The last draft of the presentation is here: https://archaeochrono.github.io/caa23/s12/pres and the source file: https://github.com/archaeochrono/caa23/blob/main/s12/index.qmd

@Eythan31 can you update the tab-panel labelled 'Other' in this slide https://archaeochrono.github.io/caa23/s12/pres/#/seriation-techniques?

There's a quarto render to do before pushing back to GH https://archaeochrono.github.io/caa23/s12/pres/#/linked-open-time-data

florianthiery commented 1 year ago

thx! we will have a look also at the SIG slides

zoometh commented 1 year ago

@florianthiery can you write a short comment we can use for this slide? https://archaeochrono.github.io/caa23/s12/pres/#/linked-open-time-tools

florianthiery commented 1 year ago

@zoometh There are many tools to create Linked Open Time Data in Reproducible Workflows using (self-scripted) Research Softwre, also known as Little Minions (in CAA Context). One Examp,e is the Alligator-Academic Meta Tool "Pipe". This creates a relative Chronology according to Allens interval algebra from a correspondance analysis, and is able to do model vagueness and to perform temporal reasoning using the Academic Meta Tool.

@zoometh as you have seen, I added also ChonOntology to PeriodO, because this are the two Space-Time-Gazetteers to be used, with a different concept behind it (PeriodO is more focused on "quotes" of time periodes in literature, ChronOntoogy more on the modelling of space and a "relative chronology" and semantic alignment .

I would also mention the Pelagios Network and the new activity (born just some days ago, as you know) https://pelagios.org/activities/time/ in the SIG talk. Do you want to propose a SIG at the AGM or just mention there that we will do that in New Zealand 2024?

@florianthiery & @AllardMees we moved the IT development from this GH user (archaeochrono) to this GU organization: https://github.com/historical-time/caa23
