I've been using this app for years with my Logitech MX518 and can't live without it. Can anyone confirm if this app works with macOS Big Sur? I don't want to upgrade if it's not compatible.

benoporter commented 3 years ago

can confirm, just installed this app on Big Sur. works as intended

Also working for me!

Edit: Logitech M570 on an M1 MBA (presumably through Rosetta 2)

skarchmit commented 3 years ago

Works for me, using it in combination with mx master 3, steer mouse and this. Works great!

camerondurham commented 3 years ago

Confirmed that works well on a cheap third party mouse on Big Sur 11.1 running on an MacBook Pro Mid-2015!

trainzje commented 3 years ago

Does not work for me on Big Sur 11.1 on an M1 macbook pro. I can only go back or forward in chrome, nothing happens in Finder.

Works fine on Big Sur 11.2 on a MacBook Air M1 based. Finder and browser

It's stopped working for me on Big Sur 11.1. Is there anything I can do to get logs?

chnbz commented 3 years ago

Can confirm, it doesn't work on Big Sur 11.2.1

hellerbarde commented 3 years ago

It works for me on Intel hardware, Big Sur 11.2.3 (20D91) with a Logitech Mouse.

EDIT: Btw, I just found this. What a LEGEND you are! Thank you so very much!

Built it universal on my M1 Mac with macOS 11.3, works fine. I had to do some updating of the Xcode project to appease Xcode, though. And Xcode is giving many warnings about using deprecated APIs, so it may be time to do a slight update to use the non-deprecated APIs.

Glad to see you made a universal version, will you make a pull request or just fork this repo?

We should fork this repo into a new project, there hasnt been any new updates and I would love to fix some bugs 😁

noah-nuebling/mac-mouse-fix

This could work without building yourself on m1

mdmullinax commented 3 years ago

I was having issue with this too, but installing the latest xcode command line tools xcode-select --install helped fix this on Big Sur 11.3.1

Also set SensibleSideButtons to "Enabled" after too.

benjaminv commented 3 years ago

Also working for me!

Edit: Logitech M570 on an M1 MBA (must run through Rosetta 2 since it was from 2018)

For anyone who doesn't want to build their own, I made a notarized universal binary build of my fork available here.
