This software is very useful for archaeologists in everyday work. it can transform automatically pictures collections. i suggest to add it in the theodoric software selection.

I also installed it in ArcheOS (via repository) and tested it. It is working very good! Very nice to perform in a fast way the boring operations to modify large amount of images (photo) data.

Some months ago (ML 14/12/2011) I proposed to install in ArcheOS Caesar "gimp-plugin-registry", a simple plugin for GIMP to scale, rotate, etc. picture collections. But if you tested Phatch and you consider it better than gimp plugin, I agree for its installation in Theodoric. If we will install phatch we could remove gimp-plugin-registry in order to avoid duplicate.

Considering that gimp-plugin-register is already packaged for Debian and that it is connected with GIMP (already inside ArcheOS), we can choose this software instead photobatch. I checked the file archeos-core.list in ArcheOS Caesar beta and gimp-plugin-registry is missing. We can consider to insert it in ArcheOS Theodoric. I suggest to close this issue and open one for gimp-plugin-registry.
