I am configuring VTP on my Debian wheeze, in order to test installation. First missing dependency seems to be the library "mini" (http://stereofx.org/terrain.html). There should be a package in Debian Mentors: http://mentors.debian.net/package/libmini

I remember there is a svn repo with third party libraries needed to compile VTP. If they are not packaged for Debian repo, We can add them to the package and statically link VTP with them (even if I'm not a huge fan of this kind of bundle). I already did a VTP package few month ago but I lost my work (a kind of uncontrolled rm -rf *). Maybe I could handle it in the coming months.
