We need to package also spatialite-gis (https://www.gaia-gis.it/fossil/spatialite_gis/index). OSGEO is owrking on the packaging of this sofwtare for a Ubuntu-based live GIS-oriented distro (http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/1182)

Packaging in itself was pretty straightforward for this software. But there are some major incompatibilities with sqlite and spatialite version included in the Debian repo. It leads to crash and errors on runtime. These incompatibilities (IMO) involve some rewrite of portion of codes. I doubt it worth it. It's no longer maintained upstream and ubuntugis isn't packaging it anymore. I suggest we should drop it from Theodoric list... or wait for some changes upstream.

OK, by now I'll close the issue. We will not consider spatialite-gis for Theodoric (it is not a mandatory software). We'll see if there will changes in the upstream.
