10 years ago Due to the recent development of QGIS (v. 2.2) and its plugins, uDig is no longer necessary in ArcheOS.
In ArcheOS Caesar we had also uDig (http://udig.refractions.net/) in GIS section. This software is not strictly mandatory, its main feature would be the good connection with the open source app GeoPaparazzy, which can be usefull in archaeology.
