.mkv playback is very dark #77

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. pms media server running on Vista SP1 laptop with CCCP codec installled.
2. .mkv 720p video with 5.1 audio track.
3. All pms settings are left as default.
4. PS3 is connected to 42" plasma using HDMI set to 1080i (max supported
by tv).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I can connect my laptop to the plasma directly using HDMI and play the
same media files via Windows Media Centre and they play correctly with the
correct level of brightness. When I play the same file via the PMS/PS3 on
the same plasma the playback is a lot darker so that dark scenes are
difficult to view. I assume this is a feature of the streamer? Is there a
setting to increase the brightness?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
V1.0

If you are transcoding a media file, which engine are you using (mencoder,
avisynth/mencoder, tsmuxer?)
Mencoder

If the media file is in error (or does not play flawlessly), what are the
codec informations of this file (you can use following program:
mediainfo.sourceforge.net) ?

No error, all media plays back ok....but for your info this is the type of
file I am playing back:
Media Info.
1 Video Stream AVC - English, 3245Kbps 1280x720 at 23.976fps AVC
(High@L4.1) (CABAC/3 Ref Frames)
1 Audio Stream AC-3 - 384Kbps 48KHz 6 channels, AC-3

Please provide any additional information below.
If you need any other information then let me know.

Sorry this affects all video playback and not just .mkv files.
