ram-errors in memtest after using ums #49

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Ums installed on lubuntu 12.04
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After streaming for a while, black screen , no active keys, no active mouse.
Restart with following kernel panic "could not write bytes" under lubuntu,
bluescreen after boot sequence and automatic reboot in windows xp sp3. Memtest
counts thousands of errors. Getting the ram-module out and in again first
didn't help. So i thought the ram-module could be defect but after some more
powerless minutes outside the system, it is running again.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Lubuntu 12.04

Please provide any additional information below.

UMS uses RAM a lot so it is probably quite good at exposing faulty memory
