Encoding error #59

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Loading MP4 (x264 8bit, AAC)
2. Choosing AVI Format
3. FFV1 Video Encoding
4. PCM 16bit Audio Encoding

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should get an AVI file with same frame rate, just bigger so that I can use it
in other software.
But instead of that I get a bad file with wrong frame rate, even though I did
not set to change it. A 24 min file results in a 3 hour file while the audio
plays okay for 24 minutes only, afterward there is no sound

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
XviD4PSP 5.10.289.0 (2012-07-06) RC31

Please provide any additional information below.
Windows 7 64bit

I can't tell you anything without your encoding log. But you can try to disable
an option "Use direct encoding if possible" in format settings on the "Muxing"
tab. Also, if you don't want\need to use AviSynth filters, you can try to use
for encoding FFRebuilder from the Tools menu.

-----

It seems like ffmpeg produces "strange" AVI files in this scenario, for me
everything works after disabling direct encoding (in this case VirtualDubMod
will be used for the muxing stage).

When disabling the "Use direct encoding if possible" option everything works
great. Did a small test. Since you asked for the log, I'm uploading 2 files:
the log of a bad encode, and the log of a good one (disabled that direct
encoding thing). Now I used some random mp4, if there is a specific file
length, resolution, I will gladly make some new encodes and upload the results.
