You'll see that if you try to drag an element onto a View that's in a different model. You can only drag to Views in the same model.
I'm in the same model (project). It seem to me something is corrupted. Archi has suddenly strange behavior...
Hmm. I can't reproduce this. Is there any error in the error log? Maybe try to re-install Archi?

That means that coArchi is not installed. There's nothing to indicate other problems. You'll need to check that everything is installed OK. Perhaps a re-install.
With Archi closed delete this folder:
C:\Users\miche\AppData\Roaming\Archi\config
Then re-start.
Consumer Information Interface.zip Still the same. Here is my current model.
I would like to drag Workplace Computer User Interface (Application/Application User Interface) for CII via CIP Development - UI into CII via CIP Flowable Customization Software Factory (Views/Software Factory)
I tested your model and I can drag and drop the element OK.
Are you sure you don't have two instances of that model open in the Models Tree? Close all models in the tree and re-open the one you want to work with.
Is it only happening with this model and this one element? Does it happen with other models? Or a new empty model? Can you try on a different machine to cross-check?
Same on other models, but sometimes the red icon appear a few seconds and after the element is dropped.
I think I will resinstall Archi from scratch.
I notice you are using:
Microsoft Windows 11 Professionnel Insider Preview 10.0.27744 Build 27744
Is this a recent install? Was it working before?
It was working fine until yesterday/today. I encountered the same with previous version. I downloaded and installed the the new 5.4.3 to see if it changed something today.
Same strange behavior after resinstalling from scratch. It seem the mouse position is totally wrong. Sometimes a copy icon appear in windows task bar instead of pointing the model.
It must be something to do with your hardware or OS. Nothing has changed in Archi regarding drag and drop. If it was working before did something change regarding the system - drivers, graphics driver, mouse or anything else?
last updates was 18.10 and 6.11. I don't remember if I used Archi in the meantime. I was implementing the project with IntelliJ most of the time.
To be sure you could try an earlier version:
I was in 5.4.2 yesterday with same behavior.
I sent a comment into windows insider programs with diagnostics.
I have a second computer not in the insider program. I will install 5.4.3 and test it in this computer.
I confirm everything is working fine by using W11 Profesional 21H2 6.12.2021 that is the last update available. The problem is definitively on W11 new release.
I reverse to previous W11 Insider build and everything is working fine again.
Let's close this. We can re-open if the issue arises in released versions of Windows.

Description
Simple drag and drop of an existing element into a view doesn't work anymore. A red "no parking" icon appears at the indicated location.
Steps to reproduce
open a view create a new element in the repository (unused) select the new existing element from the repository drag it into a view
