The qa/1.5.x-moma branch of Archivematica includes a clientScript called CopyToNetX.
This is script is part of a custom workflow, that has never been included in a stable branch of Archivematica.
For users that are currently using the qa/1.5.x-moma branch of Archivematica, that want to upgrade to a current stable public release version of Archivematica, there needs to be a way to create this custom DIP.
Describe the solution you'd like to see implemented.
I would like to see the functionality of the CopyToNetX clientScript moved to automation-tools/dips, along with a documented way to run that script. Potentially a user could store a dip with a vanilla archivematica release, and then from automation tools download the dip, alter it (remove the mets file, create and add the csv file), copy the new version of the dip to a specified folder and delete the stored dip.
Describe alternatives you've considered.
The CopyToNetX client script could be added to a new stable release of Archivematica. This has a couple drawbacks
it requires a new release of Archivematica, rather than a solution that allows an existing stable release to be used
adding a clientScript requires altering the workflow, and this 'copy to netx' feature would be part of the workflows for all Archivematica users. This is likely a very custom workflow, that does not need to be available to all Archivematica users, and would be better as an automation-tools script.
