Thank you! I know about parabola-riscv64 project. Unfortunately, I discovered this project too late and then abandoned archlinux-riscv due to lack of time and motivation. I hope that I will return to work on archlinux-riscv as soon as I receive RISC-V hardware.

spikerguy commented 3 years ago

@Disasm Now is the time to start working on RISC-V again. https://riscv.org/risc-v-developer-boards/ Apply for the boards you need. I am use after sharing this Git link they will definitely send you all the hardwares you need :D

oaken-source commented 3 years ago

impeccable timing. parabola-riscv64 has received a preview board only a few days ago :) I'm looking forward to working with you, if you choose to pick this up again @Disasm

spikerguy commented 3 years ago

@Disasm If you can pick up on this then we can work together as I am part of Manjaro ARM Linux :D and I am interested in Manjaro RISC-V Linux too ;)

Disasm commented 3 years ago

Thank you for your interest! I'm not sure I will have enough time to work on a distribution, but maybe together we can make this happen. For a single person the momentum of ArchLinux updates is too high to keep up with. Also I don't have hardware at the moment and probably will not be able to get it through the form mentioned above in the next ~4 months, but maybe I can borrow a HiFive Unleashed board.

@Disasm Drew can provide you one beagleV as informed on. Twitter here Email him asap

@oaken-source, @spikerguy What do you think about creating a Matrix/IRC room where we can discuss current status and other things?

oaken-source commented 3 years ago

I'm not a fan of matrix, but IRC is fine. Slack could work, too.

@oaken-source, @spikerguy What do you think about creating a Matrix/IRC room where we can discuss current status and other things?

Matrix is find but not used to IRC Discord or Matrix is the new way ;)

Disasm commented 3 years ago

Then I suggest Matrix + IRC bridge :D We use this combo in the Rust Embedded devices working group, works really good.

Disasm commented 3 years ago

Well, I created a matrix room: https://matrix.to/#/#archlinux-riscv:matrix.org?via=matrix.org I tried to make an IRC channel, but apparently Freenode has its own policies for channel registration. I'm not good at IRC, so if anyone knows how to create a proper Freenode channel, feel free to help me.

oaken-source commented 3 years ago

16:48 -ChanServ(ChanServ@services.)- #archlinux-riscv is already registered to disasm-ewg.

oaken-source commented 3 years ago

it seems like you can connect the matrix client to #freenode_#archlinux-riscv:matrix.org in order to use the default freenode IRC / matrix.org bridge.
