1 year ago The error indicates that it can't read one of your existing partitions. Could you share the output for lsblk -J -O
Workaround for now is to either remove the device with the unknown partition if possible or to do a delete manually first and then start archinstall

I can't remove or delete any partition because I have both Manjaro and Windows 10 each installed in a specific partition (ext4 and NTFS), while the two other NTFS partitions holds my data.
What I want to do is to replace Manjaro, which is installed on the ext4 partition, with Archlinux. I don't know why Arch based distro installers correctly detects all my partitions while archinstall fails to do it.

1 year ago For reading existing partitions we can have some form of fallback if it's unknown.

1 year ago Got the same issue. I've turned off my pc and removed every disk I have on it (except one I need for Linux), my motherboard time moved couple hours off so pacman-key wasn't working, I fixed it in BIOS.
I'm trying for a whole month to install Archlinux on my laptop using archinstall tool, but every attempt finishes as failure, I don't know how can Manjaro and EndeavourOS which are based on Arch succeed in creating a graphical tools that never fail on any installation while Archlinux which is supposed to be superior with its large skilled devs can't do it. Now with the latest archlinux-2023.08.01-x86_64.iso archinstall (latest release) refuses even to start
