i also have that exact problem
though I was alone ... I had tried multiple youtube videos for the Archinstall and the manual install method and both had problems.
For me, this was an issue with the default archinstall script automatic disc configuration when using Grub. Basically I can't use systemd-boot because I'm using an older pc with BIOS. The issue seems to be that Grub needs more space before the first block of the first partition to install the core files. If you select "best-effort" default partition or "suggest partition layout" then archinstall will choose the first block for /boot to start at 6144. That leaves only 3MB of space before /boot begins, which was not enough for the Grub core files on my system. I'm not sure exactly how much space is needed. I got fed up trying to figure it out and ended up doing manual disk configuration and setting the start block for /boot to /1000000 which gives Grub 488.28125MB of core space before /boot. I also set the end block to /3000000 giving /boot almost a full GB of space for testing and playing around (as apposed to the default of something like 212MB) That worked for me, but probably overkill lol. Anyway, hope this helps. Maybe someone will see this and update the default partition script to include some additional core space before /boot for Grub. Good Luck!
Which ISO version are you using?
archlinux-2024.07.01-x86_64
The installation log
describe the problem
Description of the issue
I have tried installing this ISO on 2 different systems. One (intel 4th gen i7 with 16gb ram 256gb ssd) and another VM using virtual box (8gb ram and 20 gb storage) and tried installing using Archinstall and the manual version. I installed arch using encryption and LVM.
But installation failed at the end.
