Creating Event Registration emails currently is a convoluted process with many potential pitfalls. The system is the last vestige of the HTML code that ENsight started with years ago. It is very clunky and therefore, only Ari sends out Event Registration Emails. This means that NDs must wait until Ari has time instead of serving themselves and sending the emails whenever it is best for them. Additionally, because the emails are generated by the old code, EN staff cannot edit the templates and we are stuck using the ones created years ago unless we ask ARCK for updates. By updating the page, we can also add SendGrid templating to the emails giving us better statistics on the open rate, click-through rate, etc.
Solution: Revamp the Event Registration Email page so that it uses our current ELGG technology and SendGrid Templates. Matt has some ideas of what he wants to do. We would need to discuss the layout. But this would conform to our current use of ELGG.
