hi, i have a soundfont called "amethyst imperial grand 2.0," and it's by mbms. for some reason, kiva doesn't recognize version 2.0 of this soundfont. here is what i'm talking about below.

https://github.com/arduano/Kiva/assets/143658584/18aee3dc-6747-4b8a-9956-e52be60fb5ea the highlighted soundfont i clicked on is part of "amethyst grand 2.0."

however, it DOES recognize version 1.3 of the soundfont, as shown below. https://github.com/arduano/Kiva/assets/143658584/cb7a9791-1a77-470a-9a45-e2a30cf1dd22

you're probably thinking, "what's the difference?" in the file names. version 2.0 of the soundfont are these ones: https://github.com/arduano/Kiva/assets/143658584/9e495a42-a835-4d2e-8020-7d375e4a2229

all the other soundfonts with "amethyst imperial grand" at the beginning are version 1.3 of the soundfont.

i'm just wondering, why isn't it recognizing those four new soundfonts?

thanks, crazypianist2160

okay, my argument may not be valid as both video clips may seem to have no audio, but the second linked clip did play sounds when the tiles hit the keys. i don't know why my video recorder isn't recording any audio.

This might not be a Kiva issue, but an sfz issue. Some soundfonts in the .sfz format just don't work with any synth. A good example is Milky Way Grand, Xeta Imperial, or FazioliX Concert. I recommend opening all the provided samples in polyphone, and copying over the settings from the sfz, because it probably won't work any other way
