I appreciate the work you put into this and sharing it with the community. I was wondering if it would be possible to add Blu-ray support. With the much smaller pit size of blu-ray and the fact that blu-ray tracks are much closer to the surface, it might be possible to possible to create a zone plate, photon sieve, or other diffractive/holographic optics.
I have seen a research paper on creating a holographic image on a DVD. Unfortunately, there was no code or implementation details. Having a tool to do this on blu-ray could open a lot of doors for researcher.
