My tips for a great cover letter are:

  1. Customise each cover letter for the specific job and company. Avoid generic letters.
  2. Lead with a strong opening paragraph that grabs the reader's attention and states your interest in the role.
  3. Highlight your most relevant qualifications, skills, and achievements that align with the job requirements.
  4. Express your enthusiasm and fit for the company's culture and mission.
  5. Keep the letter concise, typically 3-4 paragraphs and one page.
