GNOME 3.32.1 with Fedora 30 does not work #28

because the version from extensions.gnome.org did not work (knob was shown but without functionality) I upgraded to the version from guthub. After restart: no button, no hibernation-extension in Twek-Tool :-(

did you solve your issue?

EnzephaloN commented 5 years ago

No, did not solve it. But the problem isn't persistent. Sometimes hibernation (and the button) works. Sometimes not. Sometimes the hibernation after resume does not work - sometimes it does. I do not know whats the problem...

@EnzephaloN The new version of the extension still hasn't been reviewed on extensions.gnome.org - we're waiting for the GNOME devs to do this.

Sometimes hibernation (and the button) works. Sometimes not. Sometimes the hibernation after resume does not work - sometimes it does.

Perhaps you've installed two versions of the extension at the same time, and they are "fighting" over each other? Could you describe each of your issues more specifically?

@davidbailey00 I installed version 12 from gnome-repo: button shows up and sometimes works. Sometimes there is no dialog-window popping up. So I removed it andinstalled the version from github. But: No Button is shown up.

But, there might be some more problems deeper in Fedora30 with hibernation, because sometimes "systemctl hibernation" does not work...
