Quite a while ago, the masteries received an update to allow them to be hidden, so that players can still receive spirit shards on level 80. Examples are the masteries from raids, the griffon, the roller beetle and the skyscale. However, the API does not expose this property.
It would make them complete to have a field like visibility or hidden for every mastery.
