[Feature Request] Option to Hide the Ares Logo #1188

Describe the feature you'd like Hello, I would like to request the possibility to hide the Ares logo that appears at the bottom right of the emulator window, over the black background.

Additional context The logo is fantastic and very elegant, but I would particularly enjoy having the possibility of displaying/hiding it at will.

(Personally, I would prefer to have the background completely empty). Thank you.

Such an option would indeed be nice, but I'd leave it visible.

That said, I understand that you may have your reasons for preferring to have an all-black background (that has its charm).

If I may, I think it's a matter of personal preference. There is nothing wrong with giving people a choice, quite the contrary.

Whoever wants to see it, can, and whoever prefers to hide it, can too.

Seconded. I appreciate Ares immensely and have the utmost respect for its developers. But if it were not much to ask, it would be nice to have this option.

I do not think such a change would hurt anyone, after all, all it does is offer a choice for those who prefer it that way.

If not for Ares and the like, I would be restricted to using my old and dilapidated consoles, which have not been working reliably for some time now. Thanks.

What exactly is the use case for this? The logo is only displayed when a game is not loaded;

When using command line to launch ares, you can load roms at start up which would mean the logo is never displayed; so I don't understand how it is a problem or gets in the way.

Hi! I respect all your points of view, but regarding LukeUsher's second point, I haven't seen anyone complaining about it or commenting that there was any kind of problem. I only see them requesting (in a cordial manner) an option for those individuals who for their personal reasons prefer to show/hide this icon.

As it has been said, I think it is simply a matter of individual taste, which I see nothing wrong with. If you ask me, I am in favor of such an option. After all, it's still a completely voluntary aesthetic change (It is not like its implementation would undermine emulation accuracy).

Its purpose is to give an option for those who like it better this way. And not because they have anything against it. Thank you for your understanding :)

I too am looking forward to this specific feature.

Even though the Ares logo is only displayed when a game is not loaded, some people still find it distracting or unnecessary.

I agree that having this as an option would give more control over the appearance of the emulator.

Although I don't mind, some users may prefer a completely empty background, and having this option would cater to their preferences.

And while it is possible to load ROMs using the command line, not all users may be comfortable with this method.

I concur that it should be an option.
